🚧 Alpha — Coming Soon

Your AI gaming companion

Waynebert watches your screen and listens to your mic, then chimes in like a friend who actually knows what's happening in your game — in the moment, or on its own when something interesting happens.

What is Waynebert?

Waynebert is a desktop app that acts as a voice-and-vision companion for your games. It listens to you talk, watches your screen, and replies out loud — no alt-tabbing, no typing into a wiki. Talk to it and it answers; stay quiet and it'll sometimes chime in on its own, asking about your build or reacting to whatever just happened on screen.

  • Reacts when you talk, and — optionally — on its own
  • Remembers past sessions, so it recalls the boss that wrecked you last week
  • Learns a game's lore and mechanics so it can answer questions accurately
  • Can even join your Discord voice call and follow along with the group

Run it your way

Every stage — speech-to-text, the LLM brain, text-to-speech — can run locally or remotely. Mix and match based on what your hardware and budget look like.

Fully local

Speech-to-text, the LLM, and text-to-speech all run on your own machine. Nothing leaves your PC — completely private, and there's no per-token cost.

Local, on your phone

Run the model on your phone over Wi-Fi instead of your gaming rig, so your GPU's VRAM stays free for the game. Same privacy, same zero cost, without the local footprint on your PC.

Your own remote API

Bring your own key for OpenAI, Anthropic, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. You manage the account and pay the provider directly — full control, no local setup required.

One login and we handle everything — no API keys, no local models to manage. Top up with credits to cover usage, which also goes toward keeping Waynebert in active development. See pricing & credits for details.

Memory that actually sticks

Waynebert doesn't forget between sessions. It builds up a picture of you, your character, and the game itself — and you're always in control of what it keeps. All of it lives on your own machine, never on someone else's server.

Session memory

Tracks what's happening right now — the fight you're mid-way through, the item you just picked up — so its reactions stay relevant to the moment.

Long-term memory

Carries details across sessions, days or weeks apart. Come back to a boss that wrecked you last week and it'll remember, and ask how the rematch went.

Keyword memory

Waynebert periodically consolidates what you've talked about into facts tied to keywords. Mention one of those keywords later, and the relevant details get pulled back into context automatically.

Game knowledge

Ingest a wiki and YouTube videos into Waynebert's memory so it builds a deep understanding of the game's mechanics and systems — no guessing at rules questions.

Stored locally, in your control

Everything it remembers stays on your machine. Review, edit, or clear it at any time — nothing is locked away in a black box or synced to the cloud.

Make it yours

Waynebert doesn't have to sound like anyone else's companion. Shape its personality and set the boundaries for how it behaves at the table.

Custom personas

Pick from built-in personalities or build your own — tone, voice, and manner of speaking are all yours to define.

Swap on the fly

Switch personas between games or sessions without losing what it remembers about you — the personality changes, the memory doesn't.

Behavior rules

Set plain-language rules for how it acts — how often it chimes in unprompted, topics to avoid, how blunt or encouraging it should be.

Per-game defaults

Save a persona and rule set per game, so the companion that hypes you up in a shooter isn't the one quietly narrating your farm sim.
